Edna R. Sliwinski

A Memorial Visitation for Edna Ruth Sliwinski, 81, of Hoffman Estates, will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Services, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  The Interment will be private.

Edna was born on May 12, 1940 to Emil Romb and Emma Dufano (step-father Ralph Dufano) in Chicago, Illinois.  She died suddenly on Saturday, September 18, 2021 in Buffalo Grove.

Edna was a beautiful, kind, and selfless soul, who was strong in her faith, loved God, her family and grand puppies with all her heart.  She enjoyed the simple things in life like Coca Cola, York peppermint patties, comfortable pajamas, and Lifetime TV.  She told funny stories and liked to serenade people with Christmas songs.

Edna is survived by her children, Patricia (Neil) Ewers and Mitchell Sliwinski; grandchildren, April (Brendan) Cloonan, Jennifer (Ruslan) Godovskiy and Victoria Sliwinski; great-grandchildren, Grace, Faith, Rebecca, and Hosiah; and grand-puppies, Sammy, Jasmine, and Lacey.

She is preceded in death by Emil Romb (father), Ralph Dufano (step-father), Emma Dufano (mother), Violet Romb (sister), Jimmy Romb (brother), Johnny Romb (brother), Edward Romb (brother), Bobby Romb (brother), Alan Romb (brother), and Lily (great grand-puppy).
