Visitation for Earl F. Strack Jr., “Curley”, 87, of Lake Zurich, will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Services, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. Visitation will continue on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 9:00 am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, IL The Interment will follow at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Libertyville.
Earl passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on September 3rd.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Antonia Strack (nee Steffens); children Lisa (Dean) Friebus, Jeff Strack, Teresa (Mike) Van Bladel; grandchildren; Katlin Lakota, Bryant Friebus, Ashley Householder, Kendyl Strack, and Skylin Strack; great grandchildren; Addison and Gunner Householder, and Grayson Lakota.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl F. Strack Sr. and Amy Strack.
Earl was employed for 34 years with the Food and Drug Administration as an import investigator.
He served in the US Army as Sergeant First Class.
Earl was a member of the Knights of Columbus and achieved the honor of 4th degree Knight. He was Past Grand Knight and Commander of Council 3954. He was Faithful Navigator of Bishop B.J. Sheil Assembly 2330.
Earl worked as a Crossing Guard at Seth Paine for 19 years, where he was affectionately known as Mr. Curley.
