Dorothy E. Altergott

Visitation for Dorothy E. Altergott, 99, of Palatine, formally of Des Plaines, will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 9:30 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:30 am at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. A private family Interment will follow.

Dorothy was born September 19, 1923, in Jefferson Park, Chicago to David and Christina Schneider.

She is survived by her sons, Gary F. (Sharon) Altergott and Brian D. (Barbara) Altergott; grandchildren, Amelia (Brian) Gavin, Elizabeth Altergott, Jennifer Morgan, Scott (Monica) Altergott, Carrie Havansek and Cadie (Jason) White; Nephew, Paul (Maureen) Eberlin; Niece, Jill (Tung) Tran and 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Dorothy is preceded in death by husband, Frederick S. Altergott; grandson, Chad D. Altergott and sister, Betty J. Eberlein.

In Lieu of flowers, donations will be appreciated to St. Paul United Church of Christ, attention to the memorial fund, 144 E. Palatine Road, Palatine, IL  60067
