Dolores A. Vingan

Visitation for Dolores A. Vingan (nee Thorson), 86, will be held Friday, November 23, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. Interment will be private.

She passed away on November 18, 2018 at her home in Prairie View. Born in Chicago to the late Vernon and Mary (nee Hill) Thorson on March 7, 1932.

Dolores was a resident of Prairie View, Illinois for 57 years.

She is survived by her sons, George III (Roxanne), Greg (Kim): daughter, Valerie (Reid) Franzese, grandchildren, George IV, James, Brittany, Jacquelyn and the late Joshua; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Sonny (Carol) Thorson and Johnny Thorson; sister, Marilyn Curtis; also survived by her best friend of 81 years, Sophie; caregiver, Becky and her companion Myles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Vingan Jr. this year, February 19, 2018 and her brother, Kenneth Thorson.

Dolores loved gardening, flowers and doing puzzles. Most of all, her family was everything to her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
