David passed away unexpectedly, November 9, 2021, at home in Chicago.  He was born April 25, 1968 in Dekalb, Illinois, and was the dear son of Daniel and Caryl (nee Roskie) Lemanski; fond brother of Stacie (Lemanski) Udelhoven; fond brother-in-law of Brad Erlinger; uncle of Taylor and Kendall, whom he treasured.

Dave grew up in Palatine and was a graduate of Fremd High School and Columbia College in Chicago.   He worked as a Location Sound Recordist for films, television, and special events.  He split his time between urban life in Wicker Park and the contrasting peace of the family cabin on Delavan Lake in Wisconsin.  One of his favorite things was to drive the boat around the lake with his nieces in a tow behind tube.  He loved music and was also an avid sports fan who followed the White Sox, Blackhawks, and the Bears.   He enjoyed his family and friends above all and was rarely without a wide smile, a laugh, and a friendly “howrrrya!!”  As one of his dearest friends put it  “He had the kindest and biggest heart out of anyone that I have ever known.  Dave was an incredible man; an incredibly loving, selfless and kind man.”
