Curt W. Daniels

Graveside Services for Curt William Daniels will be held Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL 60421.

Curt was born in Chicago, IL, December 21, 1954 to Edward A. and Lois Elsie (nee Utpadel) Daniels. He passed to eternal rest on June 13, 2020.

Curt was baptized and confirmed at Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod in Chicago.

He is the loving husband of Karen, son, brother and proud US Navy veteran. He attended Southern Illinois Univ. in Carbondale and loved to play the blues guitar. His heart was generous and kind, and he enjoyed meeting people and living life. Curt gained the rank of Radioman 2nd class and served aboard the destroyer USS Elliott (DD 967). He was active in the American Legion in Palatine. He enjoyed carpentry and making wooden playground equipment.

Curt is survived by his brother Mark Daniels of Florence, OR, and his sister Joy Gowey of Mesa, AZ, and nephews Nathaniel (Alisa) and Noah (Monika Schwartz) True-Daniels.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lois Daniels, and his wife Karen.
