Charles A. Barnes Jr.

A Memorial Visitation for Charles A. Barnes Jr., 80, of North Barrington, will be held Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service, 5:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. The Interment will be private.

Charlie was a career business man for over 50 years in the metals Industry, and was a founding member of Promteco 28 years ago. He enjoyed his family, traveling, and had a deep love of gambling in both the casinos and stock market.

He was the beloved husband of Judith for 41 years; loving father of Michael (Melissa), Charles (Dawn), Jay (Cheryl), and Dave; loving grandfather to 14 grandchildren Joey, Christy, Hailey, Matthew, Sydney, Connor, Chloe, Morgan, Tatum, Keaton, Quinn, Brooke, Kahlen, and Bridget; great grandfather of 2, Landon and Owyn; Brother to Arlene (Lee); Son in law to Florence.

He is preceded in death by his brother Ronald (Kathy) and father in law Mike.
