Carrie M. Stanton

A Memorial Visitation for Carrie M. Stanton, 50, of Hawthorn Woods, will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Saint Mary of the Annunciation, 22333 W. Erhart Road Mundelein, IL.

Carrie was born on December 4, 1973, to Charles A. and Mary Ellen Burkart. She passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024.

Carrie grew up in Galesburg and Naperville, Illinois. Attended Naperville North High School before attending University of Iowa and Northern Illinois University (BD) Accountancy (CPA), Northwestern University (CFP), Washington University in St. Louis School of Law (Master of Legal Studies).

Carrie worked at Northern Trust Bank for 25 years and held many positions. Her most recent was Senior Vice President and Senior Fiduciary Officer.

Carrie loved the ocean and enjoyed vacationing in San Diego with Scott.

She was a loving and kind person to everyone. Enjoyed being with family and friends to have a good time and laughing.

Carrie is the loving wife of, Scott Stanton; dear daughter of Charles A. and Mary Ellen (Hafey) Burkart; fond sister Megan Etheridge (Daane), Brian J. Burkart and the late Sean Charles Burkhart; also surviving are numerous uncles, aunts, a niece and nephew, cousins and two beloved French Bull Dogs; Sully and Mia.
