A Memorial Service for Brian James Banks, 50, of Buffalo Grove, is planned for Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1190 N. Hicks, Palatine, IL 60067. The Interment will be private.

Brian was born August 4, 1976, and passed away peacefully at home, on September 4, 2026.

He is the beloved son of Sharon Banks (nee Fricke) and the late James Oliver Banks. He is also survived by his sisters, Dawne Banks (Ed Casey), Cindy (Larry) Engel, and Beverly (the late Brian) Linning, as well as his nieces and nephews, Andrew Piotrowski, Timothy Piotrowski (Rebecca Calloway), Corinne Benzinger, Michael (Kara) Benzinger, Aubrey Linning, Grace (Jason) LeClair, Maisy Linning, and Abigail Linning, and his great niece and nephew, Heidi and Elliot Benzinger, and his beloved cat, Mokey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Palatine, Illinois, or the donors favorite charity in Brian’s memory.
