She was born on July 24, 1949 in Chicago to the late William and Virginia Baumann and passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023 in Cary.

Betty was an avid bowler once placing 3rd place in Beat the Champs. Later in life, Betty started a new career as payroll clerk for Costco where the people she worked with became family to her. She enjoyed retirement after 20 years in the Lake Zurich store.

Betty was the loving wife of Barry A.; mother of Maureen (Brian) Tumilty, Jennifer (Bud) Johnson and Heather (Jeff ) Strauss; grandmother of Ashley, Samantha, Dakota, Buddy, Amanda, Nick, Kayla and Lincoln; great grandmother of 8; sister of William Baumann, Bonnie Buckley and the late Barbara Frey.
