Annetta L. Werneske

Visitation for Annetta L. Werneske, 94, long time resident of Palatine, will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2022, from 10:00a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 41 S. Rohlwing Rd, Palatine. The Interment will be held privately at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.

Annetta was born in Evanston, IL on December 6, 1927, to Charles Ruckoldt and Sarah Davis.  She passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021. Annetta was loving and faith filled, with a tremendous spirit of generosity. She was a proud member of Christ Lutheran Church for over 50 years.

Annetta was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Werneske.  Beloved mother of: Robert (the late Martha) Werneske, Donald (Susan) Werneske, and Debra (Charles) Smith; loving grandmother of the late Marnie Cogswell, Laura (John) Doerre, William (Veronica) Werneske, Jessica (Scott) Mitchell, Ryan Smith, the late Brittany Smith; dear great-grandmother of Calie, Mason, Madison, Anthony, Benjamin, Brynlee, and Trey. She is also survived by, as she called them, her bonus grandchildren, Lauren (Zach), Kelly (Andrew), and Alli (Jake), and bonus great-grandchildren, Hailey, Avery, Kyle, Jonathan and Jeremy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Christ Lutheran Church would be greatly appreciated.
