Visitation for Angelo A. Caruso, 98, of Arlington Heights, will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine from 9:00 AM until time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. The Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum, Des Plaines.
Angelo was born on June 3, 1927, to Luigi and Santina Caruso. He died on August 27, 2025.
Angelo was born and raised on the south side of Chicago where his Italian upbringing led him to become the kind and loving man that he was. He attended Tilden Tech HS and was the captain of the basketball team and enjoyed being an accomplished 16” softball player after high school. At that time, he met the love of his life, Gertrude Harvey. They were married in 1949 until her passing in 1981. A dedicated Allstate Systems Director with over 45 years of service. His retirement allowed him to volunteer at St Thomas of Villanova Church and Palatine Senior Center. He was a die-hard White Sox fan and golfer! His true love was his family. He devoted himself to going to all his grandchildren’s activities. Always giving of himself and would love and support his family in every way. He taught us all the true meaning of love and showed us by example.
Angelo was the beloved husband of the late, Gertrude Caruso, who died in 1981; beloved father of John (Janet) Caruso and Kim (Kevin) Rogers; cherished grandfather, Joseph (Jen) Caruso, Amber (Rob) LeMaster, Jessica Rogers, Robert (Alex) Rogers, Brent (Haley) Rogers and Derek Rogers; fond great-grandfather of Charlotte, and Sloane.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Alzheimer's Association.
