Alfred S. Benbow, Jr.  78, of Palatine for 43 years.  Died July 3, 2013 in Arlington Heights.  Born October 22, 1934 in Chicago.

Visitation will be on Sunday July 7, 2013 from 3:00pm until 9:00pm at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy. Palatine.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 10:00am, also at the funeral home.  The interment will be private.

Al is survived by his wife of 51 years Marjorie D. (nee Carlson). Sons: Alfred P., Richard C. (Louann), Douglas R. Benbow. Grandchildren: Kyle, Zachary, Elizabeth. And many other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Al was veteran of the United States Army.  In his spare time, he was an avid golfer.
